Local 479 has a history of experienced crews mentoring new members, and as our local has grown we have built upon that tradition with a dedicated training facility and education program.

Practicing professionals with decades of experience are training the our generation of workers, demonstrating tips and techniques acquired over long careers.
Today our local features an educational curriculum designed to pass along the best practices in use by technicians in a variety of specialized crafts from our industry.

Members are trained by experts on real world systems and equipment, with immersive scenarios with industry expectations. A team environment promotes communication between class members, further reinforcing the concepts and methods introduced by trainers.
