The members of IATSE Local 479 have been able to generate significant financial uplifts within our local community through a variety of fundraising events and relationships with industry partners. We target organizations that are making a meaningful impact in our jurisdiction, giving them the tools they need to continue their missions.

Giving Back to the Community
From Kickball Tournament to the Pride Parade to the Charity Golf Tournament, the members of IATSE Local 479 are driven to contribute to the communities that we call home. We can make a difference in peoples lives through collaboration with our kindred unions and guilds, and the vendors and businesses that make Georgia such a thriving center for the Entertainment Industry.

The IATSE Local 479 Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee is dedicated to the advancement of each individual in our local, and the value of a diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, and beliefs.
Golf
The IATSE Local 479 Golf Committee works to create an opportunity for kinship among the greater IA community in our jurisdiction, with a focus on raising funds for organizations making a difference in our community.
Pride
The IATSE Local 479 Pride Committee works to enhance LGBTQ+ members’ inclusion, visibility, and potential for success within the union, the workplace, and the community, across our various crafts and geographic locations.
Women
The IATSE Local 479 Women’s Committee works to promote networking and mentorship opportunities and create visibility of IATSE women in community and union activities.
YWC
The IATSE Local 479 Young Workers initiative was created to engage, encourage, educate, and support the next generation of active IATSE members and leaders to build long-term collective power.
