The 2019 Charity Kickball Tournament

It’s time for some KICKBALL!!! This weekend our Young Workers Committee will kick off the 5th Annual Charity Kickball Tournament at Noon on Sunday, September 22nd at the Atlanta Public Schools Coan Building (1550 Hosea Williams Drive NE).
Even if you’re not on one of the 20 teams you can have a great time watching the epic gameplay on the field! As in years past we’re once again offering some incredible prize packages that will be raffled off over the course of the day.
The Mekhail Brothers will provide a delicious BBQ lunch complete with veggie options, and many of our sponsors will be present so stop by and thank them for making a difference in our community! Best of all, representatives from this year’s charity, W-Underdogs will have some dogs up for adoption at the event!

Charity Kickball Trophy Dedicated to Brian Patrick Carroll
In the Summer of 2018 the Young Workers Committee dedicated the championship trophy for the annual charity kickball tournament to the memory of their late friend Brian Patrick Carroll, who helped organize and execute the first two competitions. The 2018 Charity Kickball Tournament
Are you ready for some KICKBALL?! The 4th Annual Charity Kickball Tournament will kick off at Noon on Sunday, September 30th at Coan Middle School (1550 Hosea Williams Drive NE). Even if you’re not playing on one of the 16 competing teams you should still come to cheer on your friends, have lunch with the Mekhail Brothers, buy tickets for our prize-packed raffle baskets, meet our sponsors, and adopt a dog from the LifeLine Animal Project!

Are You Ready for Some Kickball?
This year Local 479’s Young Worker’s Committee has dedicated the proceeds of their 3rd Annual Atlanta Film Community Kickball Tournament to the Castleberry Hill Athletic Club, a 501-c3 non-profit organization with the mission of converting unused urban areas into community destinations. Kickball Tournament A Fun Time For All
After an initial postponement due to a rain out, Local 479’s Young Workers Committee successfully launched this rollicking kickball tourney to benefit The Global Village Project School, raising $18,425 on behalf of the Atlanta-based charity, which helps refugee girls with interrupted schooling to gain access to the education necessary to pursue their dreams.

First Annual YWC Charity Kickball Tournament Announced
The IATSE Local 479 Young Workers Committee have announced their “kick-off” event: The 1st Annual YWC Charity Kickball Tournament! Every show is invited to form a team of 15 players and play against other shows in an all day event. If you are not on a show but still want to play in the tournament you can always register as a free agent and be assigned to a team. Teams can be comprised of any members of your show’s cast or crew – IATSE, DGA, PA’s, WHATEVER! All proceeds benefit The Global Village Project, a school for refugee girls located in Decatur, GA.
