Local Holds First A & A2 Live Training Trust Event

Time is running out for a special opportunity to take the A and A2 training classes at Local 479 with assistance and direct oversight from the Local 479 Education Team and a representative of the IATSE Training Trust Fund (TTF). This event will allow you to register, enroll & complete your online courses all in one day.  Feel free to drop by anytime to register & enroll in the courses. An IATSE TTF representative will have your registration PIN on-site.

Date: Saturday, October 7th – drop-in anytime between 10 am – 6 pm
*If you’d like to complete both the A & A2, please drop-in no later than 1pm to ensure enough time to complete the courses. If you simply want to register & enroll in the courses, drop-in anytime!

Training is for Everyone

The A and A2 training classes are not intended solely for people new to the union; the information contained in this coursework is important to members from all levels of experience. Despite having 31 years in the business, Local 479’s current Sergeant-at-Arms Kat Tonkin has signed up to participate for the upcoming training event, explaining that:

“As the industry continues to expand in Georgia I believe that this training could become required at some point in the future – so the way I look at it, I’m getting ahead of the ball.”

The A and A2 courses were developed by Contract Services Administration Trust Fund and are offered by the IATSE Entertainment & Exhibition Industries Training Trust Fund, based in Los Angeles.
