30th Anniversary Celebration a Great Success

This past Saturday IATSE Local 479 finished up the year with a special holiday party designed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the charter of our Local (which is officially October 1st, 1986).

The event was quite well attended, with members and their dates spilling from the Crowne Plaza Midtown’s main event space out into the lobby, where they enjoyed heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bars.

Inside the main ballroom people took to the dance floor and some of our longtime members received pins in recognizing their years spent in service to their crafts.

President Ray Brown shared his pride in belonging to this local.

The Local was honored by the attendance of some the IA’s most highly ranked officers, including International President Matthew Loeb, 5th International Vice President, Department Director of Motion Picture & Television Production Michael Miller, and Assistant Department Director of Motion Picture & Television Production Dan Mahoney.

President Loeb addressed those in attendance and congratulated Local 479 for all that its members have accomplished in the 30 years of operation.

Photo albums from the event have been posted to Facebook and to Google.
